Day 1: Arrival and Discovering Cagliari’s Historic Heart

Start your journey by docking at the Marina of Cagliari, located near the city center. Spend the morning exploring the Castello district, the old fortified quarter perched on a hill. Wander through narrow cobblestone streets and visit landmarks like:

  • Cagliari Cathedral with its mix of Romanesque and Baroque architecture

  • Torre dell’Elefante, a medieval tower offering panoramic views

  • Bastione di Saint Remy, a grand terrace perfect for sunset views

In the afternoon, visit the National Archaeological Museum to see artifacts from Sardinia’s Nuragic civilization, Phoenician, and Roman periods. This museum provides deep insight into the island’s ancient past.

Enjoy dinner at a local trattoria serving Sardinian specialties such as bottarga (cured fish roe) and porceddu (roast suckling pig).

Day 2: Yacht Cruise to Poetto Beach and Cultural Walk

Set sail early to Poetto Beach, a long stretch of white sand just a few kilometers from the city. Anchor your yacht and spend the morning swimming or relaxing on the beach.

After lunch on board, return to the city for a cultural walk through the Marina district, known for its lively atmosphere and seafood markets. Visit the San Benedetto Market, one of the largest covered markets in Italy, where you can see fresh fish, local produce, and traditional Sardinian products.

In the evening, explore the Marina’s vibrant nightlife with its bars and cafes, perfect for tasting local wines and enjoying live music.

Day 3: Day Trip to Nora Archaeological Site by Yacht

Cruise south along the coast to the ancient city of Nora, one of Sardinia’s most important archaeological sites. This open-air museum features ruins from the Phoenician, Roman, and Byzantine eras, including a theater, mosaics, and thermal baths.

Spend the day exploring the site and nearby beaches. The clear waters around Nora are ideal for snorkeling directly from your yacht.

Return to Cagliari in the late afternoon and enjoy a quiet evening on board or dine at a waterfront restaurant.

Day 4: Explore Villanova and Sant’Elia Neighborhoods

Dock your yacht and spend the day exploring two of Cagliari’s charming neighborhoods:

  • Villanova: Known for its artisan shops and traditional Sardinian crafts. Visit local workshops to see ceramics and textiles being made.

  • Sant’Elia: A coastal area with beautiful views and the historic Sant’Elia Fortress. Walk along the promenade and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

In the afternoon, visit the Botanical Garden of Cagliari, home to Mediterranean and tropical plants. It’s a quiet spot to relax and learn about local flora.

For dinner, try a restaurant specializing in seafood caught fresh from the Mediterranean.

Day 5: Sail to Calamosca Bay and Final Cultural Experience

On your last day, sail to Calamosca Bay, a small, secluded beach just a few kilometers from Cagliari. The bay is perfect for swimming and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters.

After a morning on the water, return to the city for a final cultural experience at the Cittadella dei Musei, a complex housing several museums including art, history, and natural sciences.

Before leaving, stroll through Piazza Yenne, a lively square surrounded by cafes and shops, where you can soak up the local atmosphere one last time.
