Sailing the Mediterranean by yacht offers luxury, adventure, and privacy. While Formentera remains a beloved destination, 2026 invites yacht guests to venture beyond its shores and discover new, exclusive routes tailored for those who seek more than the usual.

This post presents two bespoke itineraries designed for discerning travelers who want to experience Ibiza’s secrets, combining stunning landscapes and Anchorages
1. The "Bohemian Luxury" Route: South Ibiza & Es Vedrà
This itinerary is perfect for those who want the iconic "magnetic" energy of Ibiza without the Formentera crowds. It focuses on the rugged southwest coast.
Total Distance: ~32 Nautical Miles (Round Trip)
Cruising Time: ~1.5 to 2 hours total (at a 20-knot cruising speed).
The Schedule:
11:00 AM – Departure: Leave Marina Ibiza and cruise past the ancient walls of Dalt Vila.
11:30 AM – Cala Jondal: Anchor in the turquoise waters of the island's most sophisticated bay. Swim or take the tender to Blue Marlin or Casa Jondal for a pre-lunch cocktail.
1:30 PM – Es Vedrà & Cala d'Hort: Cruise toward the 400m-high limestone rock of Es Vedrà. This is the "magnetic" heart of the island.
2:30 PM – Lunch at Anchor: Avoid the shore rush. Have your private chef serve a Balearic seafood spread on the aft deck with a direct view of the monolith.
4:30 PM – Sa Caleta: On the way back, stop at the hidden "Red Cliffs" of Sa Caleta for a final golden-hour swim in shallow, warm waters.
7:00 PM – Return: Back to port as the sky begins its famous transition to purple.
2. The "Ultimate Formentera" Route: Espalmador & Ses Illetes
This is the "gold standard" of Ibiza yachting. It crosses the Freus (the strait between the islands) to reach the Caribbean-style waters of Formentera.
Total Distance: ~22 Nautical Miles (Round Trip)
Cruising Time: ~1 hour total (at a 20-knot cruising speed).
The Schedule:
10:30 AM – The Crossing: A smooth 30-minute run south. The water changes from deep indigo to electric blue as you cross the sandbars.
11:00 AM – S’Espalmador: This private island is only accessible by boat. Anchor in the horseshoe bay. It is a protected natural park, so ensure your captain uses the eco-friendly buoy system to protect the Posidonia seagrass.
1:30 PM – Ses Illetes: Move the yacht 5 minutes south to the world-famous Illetes beach.
2:00 PM – Lunch at Juan y Andrea: The "barefoot luxury" pinnacle. Use the restaurant's tender service to be picked up directly from your yacht.
4:30 PM – Cavall d'en Borràs: After lunch, move slightly toward Beso Beach. The water here is incredibly clear and perfect for using the yacht's "toys" (Seabobs, eFoils, or paddleboards).
6:30 PM – Sunset Cruise: Head back toward Ibiza, timing your arrival at the marina exactly as the sun dips behind the hills of San Jose..
