Watching the newly released movie in Netflix 'The woman in cabin 10' probably got you interested in knowing more about the yacht featured.
Is it a real yacht and who is the owner ? Lets get started with some information.
The yacht was owned by Lukas Lundin from Switserland but he died in 2022. After his passing the family put the yacht up for sale soon after. It only sold in 2025 after reducing the price, the new unknown owner must have rented to yacht out to Netflix and could get some cash out of this deal.
For the filming there have been up to 80 people on board at the same time, filmcrew, yachtcrew, technicnians, actors. As the boat can only legally carry 22 people whilst underway the movie was mostly filmed on anchor in daytime. Being on superyachts likes this, everything you see or touch is very expensive. It must have been quite the mission for the official yachtcrew to manage the filming days having this much guests on board and looking out for everybody.
Has the show realisticly portraid superyacht life? Funny scene is when keira knightley steps on board the Chief stew asks to take of her shoes and offers appropriate footwear. For people often on these type of yachts will know the drill. These decks costs thousands and thousands so usually you will wear slippers or barefooted.

The real name of the yacht is Savannah and the current owner is unknown.
Builder: Feadship (De Vries yard, The Netherlands)
Launched: 2015, with a major refit in 2024
Length: ~83.5 m (273 ft 11 in)
Beam: 12.5 m
Draft: ~3.95 m
Price: ~145.000.0000 USD
Running cost: ~40.000 USD per Day
Propulsion, Eco-Features & Engineering
Savannah is widely recognised as one of the first “hybrid” superyachts. What that means in her case:
She uses a multi-mode propulsion system, which combines a single large diesel engine, three generator sets (gensets), large battery bank, a propeller shaft, and azimuth thrusters.
The battery bank is about 1 MWh, supplied by Corvus Energy.
This architecture gives flexibility: Savannah can operate in diesel-only, in diesel-electric, or in more electric-driven modes, depending on needs.
Fuel savings are claimed at around 30% over conventional yachts of similar size.
Other technical/design highlights:
Hull: Steel; Superstructure: Aluminium; decks are teak.
The design integrates what’s called a “floating superstructure” to give a sense of lightness, with polished stainless-steel strips etc.
The exterior is painted in a distinctive metallic “sea-foam green” finish (except for mast domes) — which was a special paint job, requiring custom spraying techniques to get an even metallic look.
